How to Embed a Creative Commons Badge in your Work

If you go to the Creative Commons Choose page, you can easily enter the details of the image, how you like to license it, and how you want your badge to look! Nifty. Here's an example of a badge for an "imaginary" image I compiled:

Online Media Week 4

OK gang, here's some tips and tricks for week 4, Online Media.

Source: dribble.com
I have been playing around with Glos.si which is an aggregator of sorts, so essentially it is a way to gather all of our online spaces and display them in one view. Or as the Glos.si crew say:

Glossi™ is a simple and beautiful way to unify your social content from around the web. Connect your social media accounts once, and let us do the heavy lifting of organizing your content and keeping it up-to-date.

Glos.si could be useful for two reasons:

1. Brand me

In terms of how we are starting to think about how we brand ourselves on the Internet, we will likely set up multiple accounts over various platforms, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Vimeo, Flickr, etc. Each one of these spaces has a particular purpose, for example you might use Flickr to host all of your photojournalism material, and Twitter to disseminate your message. But how do we bring all of these platforms together in one concise view? Enter... Glos.si!

Also, it has an RSS feed management tool that seems to be quite powerful for choosing and including specific sites that you interact on.

Could be useful for some to play around on.

2. Feature presentations

If this type of tool is useful in aggregating platforms and essentially content together, perhaps Glos.si may be useful for some projects.

SOme interesting examples I stumbled upon include Manouk and Mats Abrahamsen.
